Hajimemashite!!

I haven't posted in forever, but, so goes life. I need to update my picture, too, because now my hair is about a foot and a half shorter than it used to be! It's only a few inches long now.

In case you didn't guess, yes, the title is in Japanese. "Hajimemashite" is like saying, "How are you?" I think it literally means "We haven't met in a long time," or somthing along those lines. I had my second class last night, and I'm loving it. The first day I met a girl named Elizabeth, and we became friends almost imediately. She just graduated from high school, so our ages aren't that far apart, but I am the youngest one in my class. Had to see that comming, though. ^_^

My first day of class, I was super attentive, paying super attention to everything the teacher said and taking notes like crazy. I wrote down every assignment so I wouldn't forget. "Make flashcards for the first 15 Katakana symbols and memorized them. Read the first section in the text book." That wasn't very hard, so I got it done pretty quickly. When I went to class yesterday, I handed in my assignment very proud that I had done so well. Then, during first break (we get two ten-minute breaks in class because it's four hours long) my teacher came up to me and asked where my other flash cards were. Apparently I miss heard her the class before. We were supposed to make all the flash card and memorize the first 15. Doh!! So last night after class, I went up to her and made sure that all my homework was written down correctly. I won't make that mistake again! She was really nice about it, but I don't plan to take her grace for granted!
